Assistant Professor of Spanish Lewisburg, PA
The Department of Spanish at Bucknell University invites applications for an entry-level, tenure-track position in Spanish, beginning August 2024. We seek candidates with expertise in Colonial Latin American Literature. A secondary focus may include pre-Columbian literature or nineteenth-century Latin American literature. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. by August 2024. We seek a candidate whose research, teaching, and service will contribute to the department’s commitment to diversity and academic excellence. We welcome candidates who demonstrate excellence in reflective multicultural and inclusive teaching practices and who display a strong commitment to collaboration and interdisciplinarity. The successful candidate will teach one core course in Latin American literature/culture, one seminar on a topic in Colonial Latin American Literature and all levels of Spanish language, for a total of five courses per year. Candidates must have native or near-native fluency in Spanish, and sustained living experience in a Spanish-speaking country.

Tenure Track Faculty Position in Economics Lewisburg, PA
Bucknell University’s Department of Economics invites interested candidates at the Assistant Professor level to apply for a tenure-track position beginning in the fall semester of 2024. The successful candidate will have the ability to pursue a high-quality research program in at least one of the following areas: public economics, urban or regional economics, poverty, antitrust, and the economics of education. The successful candidate will also have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching of economic principles and electives in their area of interest. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in Economics, although candidates nearing completion of their doctoral work will be considered. Tenure Track Position in Dance Lewisburg, PA
Bucknell University’s Department of Theatre and Dance invites applications for a full-time Tenure Track Faculty Position in Dance with expertise in a non-Eurocentric dance form, ballet technique and composition, to start August 2024. This faculty member will play a primary role in teaching within the Dance Program’s curriculum and choreographing for departmental productions. Teaching duties include one level of dance composition, offering one technique course each semester in a non-Eurocentric dance form in the area of the candidate’s expertise (i.e. West African dance, classical Indian dance form(s), Hip Hop, Chinese watersleeves), and all levels of ballet technique. Successful candidates will have an MFA Terminal degree or PhD with accompanying performance and choreographic experience in dance concerts/stage productions. Bucknell University seeks a HVAC Supervisor to be responsible for managing and directing assigned staff in the installation, repair/maintenance, inspection and modification to of campus HVAC systems, associated BAS (Building Automation System) and controls systems, air compressors and elevators. This position is also responsible for the design and execution of small HVAC related projects to meet code requirements and University specifications/guidelines including developing drawings, performing heating and cooling load calculations, specifying and ordering equipment, controls, etc., procuring contractors, commissioning equipment and executing the project in agreed time frame. This opportunity is eligible for a $3,000 hiring incentive in accordance with program guidelines.
