The Philosophy Department at Bucknell University invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track position in Social and Political Philosophy with a specialization in Philosophy of Race, beginning August 2019. We seek a teacher-scholar with broad philosophical interests, an understanding of the task of teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts curriculum, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusive pedagogy. Ph.D. in Philosophy required by the start of the appointment. Candidates should demonstrate ability to teach Introduction to Philosophy and intermediate and advanced undergraduate courses in Philosophy of Race and Social and Political Philosophy.
